This morning, just after my first cup of coffee and a round of email I looked out the back door. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive groundhog I've been trying to terminate for the past several months, I was surprised to see a spike buck at my back door. Just a few feet away! There he was; munching on the apples that had fallen on the ground around our apple tree. What a surprise and a delight.
