"You have closed. You now officially own the farm. Congratulations!!" Hearing our lawyer say these words brought about a major sigh of relief to both of us. Yes! The deal is finally done. The first time we looked at the property was about 18 months prior to hearing these words. Eighteen months of working, negotiating, praying and wondering if this was ever REALLY going to happen. We always believed that this day would come but the fact that it is finally here does bring comfort to the soul.
Now the REAL work begins.
We anticipate actually moving to the farm in September. Until then we are working to sell our home here in the UK. The market seems to have improved and the prospect of selling our place for something close to the asking price is actually pretty good. We are hopeful.
